I use a combination of video , images , animations and live cameraswithin my sets . I can and have run multiple rooms from one room andcan mix between 2 VJ systems giving my sets a unique level of mixingthat you will rarely see. I have many musical and video influences but have always loved housemusic in all its forms. I especially love breakbeat and can be regularlyfound in my studio or car blasting heavy breakbeat tunes out. I lovegroups like Prodigy, The Chemical Brothers, Faithless and many more.Visually, my influences are life in general, whatever looks interesting. Ilike to feel what a crowd and DJ are doing and match my performancesto that. I try not to pre think my sets as you never know what is going towork until you feel the music and the vibe in the place. I started out my career as a computer engineer, where I found mypassion for creating video. From there I did many jobs, but nothing thatheld my passion like working with video. I had always wanted to be ableto mix video live in clubs for many years, but the technology was notavailable. As I progressed as a video editor the technology began to catchup. I first started VJing in small clubs and private parties. Slowly getting togrips with the technology. Then I began to push myself and start doingwork for much larger clubs and promoters. Pushing the technology as faras I could. I use 2 VJ systems that are fed back into each other, allowingme to mix more layers and make more complicated mixes. Most recentlyI have been producing video flyers for nights such as Batch, Mulletoverand Shake It!(the new Layo and Bushwacka events) then VJing on thenights. always liked the idea of being a DJ, but never had the ability or therecord collection. So VJing is my way of adding that something special toa club night that gives a party night an extra element. I feel that there is agrowing need for visual stimulation as well as audio within a night. Inthis ever-growing multimedia age it is important to use every form oftechnology at your disposal to give the people going to your events anaudio visual experience that leaves them wanting more. I now have my own company doing video, multimedia and VJproduction. The company has just had its first birthday and I am veryproud to say is showing great success. The other side of my business is video production.Woolf Video Production is a video and multimedia production companyspecialising in small to medium video productions. The company has isalmost a year old now and has had great success to date. We have 2 full Final Cut Pro edit suites, 3 broadcast quality cameras anda multitude of other state of the art equipment at our disposal.
